Tasha is an experienced Senior Manager with over 20 years of experience in strategy, public policy, governance, and regulation. She has a strong skillset in road safety policy and reform, national transport policy and freight, having held senior positions in state government bodies. A highly skilled program manager, Tasha delivers high quality public policy and programs, customer experience enhancement, leveraging co-design with business partners and navigating a balanced approach to regulatory compliance and innovative solutions.

An earned reputation as a Strategic, Transformational Leader and Trusted Advisor. This is underpinned by recognition of credibility as a SME and who instigates and sustains enduring relationships with stakeholders and business partners to support delivery on organisational goals. Tasha has held key senior managerial roles at several organisations, including at Transport for NSW, NSW Department of Industry, and NRMA Ltd. Nominated as the Australian Expert at the Meeting of Experts to Adopt Guidelines on the promotion of Decent Work and Road Safety in the Transport Sector at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) of the United Nations in Geneva.

Recent Projects

  • Heavy Vehicle National Law Review – National Transport Commission – Engaged by the NTC to provide advice, research and drafting for a Decision Regulatory Impact Statement on the Heavy Vehicle National Law for a High-level regulatory framework.
  • National Rail Action Plan and Reform – National Transport Commission – Engaged by the NTC to deliver a proposed governance arrangements to deliver the NTC’s Rail Interoperability framework.  Delivered a Memorandum of Cooperation for all Ministers and industry heads to commit to interoperability, which is being rolled out for signing by leaders across Australia.  Established governance arrangements for the Interoperability Advisory Group of heads of rail industry and jurisdictions to identify and prepare advice in relation to key interoperability issues.
  • Heavy Vehicle National Law Review – National Transport Commission – Worked closely with the NTC and Mr Ken Kanofski to deliver complex policy reform proposals for national executives and Ministers.  This included industry and jurisdictional negotiation and liaison and survey of industry satisfaction.
  • Accelerating innovative Local Transport: Community Transport of the Future – UTS Institute of Public Policy and Governance – Tasha was engaged by UTS IPPG to project manage and direct key research for a first report that covered a complex social transport area.  This was a collaborative research project with ITS Australia was funded by UTS, government and industry partners with the iMOVE CRC.
  • Led development and delivery of Moving More with Less, the NSW Heavy Vehicle Access Policy Framework, which aims to improve safety and productivity, published with the NSW Freight and Ports Plan. Approach also adopted at the National level by Transport Ministers.
  • Strategic Plan and Stakeholder and Communications Strategy- Cemeteries and Crematoria NSW – Advising and supporting the CEO of Cemeteries and Crematoria NSW (Chaired by Dr Stepan Kerkyasharian), Tasha developed the agency’s first Strategic Plan.  This was completed in in 9 months, in consultation with the Board, and launched by the then Minister for Primary Industries, supported by Crown Trust CEOs, heads of religious organisations, industry groups and local government.
