Oliver McDowell

Oliver is an analyst at NineSquared specialising in financial and commercial analyses, financial modelling and quantitative risk modelling and assessment.

Oliver has completed a Bachelor of Finance at the Queensland University of Technology majoring in Finance and Quantitative Economics. He also recently completed his Master of Finance (Applied Finance) at the Queensland University of Technology, graduating with distinction.

Prior to joining NineSquared Oliver worked a Data Analyst at team at CTM He specialised in developing financial metrics, bespoke analytical models, and interactive dashboards to support client decision making. This role involved transforming complex operational and financial datasets into clear insights, building customised reporting tools, and delivering tailored analysis that improved commercial performance.

• Conducted the financial analysis and developed the financial model for assessing the appropriate discount rate for a government agency to use in fee setting.
• Developed the financial model for a major hospital project to assess the financial impact, affordability, risk assessment and net present value of the project.
• Developed the financial model for a government owned corporation’s investment in major warehouse facilities.
